Sporting five re-fashioned (2023) luxury tents, each on a raised platform with their own private decks and incredible views of the surrounding savannah, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp offers you a fully immersive experience in the bush.
Enhancing the already well known features of this bushlovers favoritetented camp, are a new strategically placed waterhole which will offer views of wildlife and birdlife from the comfort of a fully revamped dining and lounge area.
The new safari tents are well spaced out, large and comfortable, with queen-size beds and fully appointed bathrooms and outdoor showers, along with comfortable seating on private timber decks, so that guests can enjoy their surroundings in complete comfort and privacy.
Ideal for guests who want to feel they are surrounded by the bush and prefer a more informal and gentle safari experience, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp has a new luxurious feel with her revamp, "promising guests an even more exclusive and intimate bush retreat than before".
With their elevated views and private decks overlooking the bush, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp is located in the heart of the spectacular Mabula Game Reserve, a Big 5 safari destination that is also home to other predators including Hyena and Jackal and large antelope from Red Hartebeest to Eland, Gemsbok to Blesbok.
You can also look forward to spotting elusive cheetah and honey badgers and the much easier to spot and ever present warthogs, that are a constant source of amusement as they rush from one meeting to the next.

Kwafubesi is a small intimate camp located close to the bigger Mabula Game lodge approximately 10 minutes away. All guests at Kwafubesi also have access to the activities and facilities at Mabula Game Lodge, including the Mabula Spa. (From Swedish to Aromatherapy, Hot Stone to Fusion massages), a superette, curio shop and tennis courts.
The dining experiences, by design, are small and intimate with the chefs signature South African bush cuisine prepared with hearty doses of passion and creativity.
"Bushveld tapas" , authentic South African braai (barbecue), full breakfasts taken on the deck in the sunshine or in the traditional boma area around the fire all go together to create an authentic, informal atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Game drives are offered to Kwafubesi guests twice a day – once early morning and again in time for sundowners in the late afternoon, and depending on the time of year you visit, each experience can be unique.

Experience the African bush with our horseback safaris. Our qualified horse trail guides will take you out on our 10,000 hectare reserve where you can experience our animals up close and personal. Our guides will go through all the safety aspects of the trail and will show you all the tricks to be a good rider. It is requested for you to wear long trousers and closed shoes due to the terrain covered by the horse trail.

This 2.5 hour activity leaves from the Main lodge. Our guides will take you on a walk around our 10,000 hectare reserve, where they will be focusing on our fauna and flora and some of our big 5 animals (excluding lions). Our guides will be equipped with the necessary equipment (rifle, water, first aid kit).
Wear comfortable walking shoes and khaki coloured clothing so you can blend in with the natural environment. No bright colours are allowed.

Experience the African bush with our quad bike safari. Our qualified guides will take you out on our 10,000 hectare game reserve where you will experience the smaller things found in the bush. Our guides will go through all the safety aspects of the trail. The quad bike trail is a 1.5 hour trail where you spend a half hour on transfers and safety procedures and 1 hour in the bush. We supply the safety gear (helmets) for your trail. Our quad bikes are semi-automatic 250 cc Suzuki bikes, you can either drive manually or in automatic gear.

Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp features five luxury tents which can accommodate a maximum of ten guests.
Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, mosquito nets and electricity. The tents are set on a raised platform and come with a private deck and panoramic views of the surroundings. It also has electricity and an en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
