A short drive away is the Elephant Education centre
As you approach the seating area, you are welcomed by 3 enormous African Elephants - Rambo, Rachael and Jabulani. Rambo, it has been said is the 2nd largest male African Elephant in the area. Once seated, you will be educated about the anatomy and behaviour of the African Elephant, additionally the Amazing story of Rambo and Rachael will be told to you.
After the presentation guests are allowed into the area just infront of Rambo, Rachael and Jabulani, where you will be able to experience touching, feeding and interacting with them.
About 70 km North of Durban along the N2 highway to your left, you turn onto the D464 District Road / Leopard Mountain Lodge turnoff. It is roughly 32kms after Hluhluwe.
Proceed to the Main Gate of the Reserve, where you will be asked to sign in, then continue on for 13kms to the Lodge.
The Lodge is about 500km From Joburg and you would normally approach it Southbound on the N2 highway. Take the D464 District Road / Leopard Mountain turnoff to your right 19kms after Mkuze.
