Springbok Lodge is now fully fenced! The whole lodge is now surrounded by a game fence, so come visit and bring the WHOLE family without worrying about BFE (the resident elephant bull for those of you who haven't met him) or the buffalo bull being around the next bend. Go ahead and contact us for all the specials and activities that will appeal to the whole family!
The Springbok Lodge. Located in the northwest corner of KwaZulu-Natal, a 2.5 hour drive from Durban, 3.5 hours from Johannesburg/ Pretoria and Bloemfontein, and a mere 1 hour drive from the Drakensberg, the Springbok Lodge is an ideally situated destination.
The Springbok Lodge is definitively different. Whilst providing the fundamental “Big 5” experience, it also offers a uniquely themed and memorable stay. It will flourish on the basic human experiences and relationships built around the icons who represent the passion of the nation-building game of rugby.
The Lodge history itself is also extraordinary, taking it's name from the countries national rugby team who the lodge's two original owners spent very long careers playing for. There is a library of unforgettable games, the momentous ’95 victory and many hours of exciting rugby can all be viewed on the big screen. Bush Braai's and sunny skies, in a malaria-free and disability friendly zone, promises a comfortable and carefree holiday filled with much laughter and camaraderie.
