Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the Kwa Zulu Natal Midlands only 4 hours from Johannesburg, 2½ hours from Durban or 40 minutes from the Drakensberg, just off the main N3 freeway!

This luxurious lodge specializes in romantic getaways, honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, group family holidays, small weddings or just a great bush experience, ensuring that your safari is beyond expectation! Our superb facilities combine the thrill of the African bush with all the comforts of a 5 Star Hotel. The lodge features 4 luxurious suites, 4 luxurious chalets, as well as a presidential suite (with a private jacuzzi) all secluded and free standing.  All the air conditioned rooms have large picture windows to maximize game viewing. In addition to a private bathroom, each suite has an outdoor shower, so our guests can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of Nambiti, an unforgettable African experience.

An added indulgence is the flat screen TV with satellite channels to catch up with the world that seems so far away – should you wish to! Guests can experience the truly magnificent views from the expansive wooden decks or the rim flow swimming pool, while sipping cocktails. Perhaps enjoy an indulgent body massage in the Health Spa. Game Drives

This Malaria free area provides an unrivalled safari experience with the opportunity to view Africa’s Big 5, including cheetah, under African skies. Umzolozolo is an intimate, privately owned, luxury game lodge where you will be able to enjoy the biodiversity of the reserve in near solitude. Experienced, enthusiastic game rangers will accompany you on game drives in open topped 4×4 game viewers, tracking the Big 5 and sharing their vast knowledge of the surrounding wildlife. At Umzolozolo, the emphasis is on personal service.

Luxury Suites

4 beautifully decorated, modern Luxurious Suites. Set high on the hill top with their own decks, and breathtaking views of the valley below, absolutely stunning. In total seclusion, guests can sip champagne as dusk falls over the landscape, lulled by birdsong and the majestic roar of the lions as they emerge to hunt.

Luxury Chalets

Our luxurious chalets have one large bedroom in addition to a lounge area, perfect for couples. Families can be accommodated, as we have pull out beds in the main bedroom. These chalets can also be made into twin rooms

Luxury Chalet With Pool

Tucked away for complete privacy, the luxurious chalet has it’s own deck and private plunge pool, with a view of the valley. In total seclusion, guests can sip champagne as dusk falls over the landscape, lulled by birdsong and the majestic roar of the lions as they emerge to hunt.

Presidential Suite

The majestic suite is fit for royalty. The extravagant stone bath with breathtaking views through large open windows is the perfect setting for relaxing, and soaking up the beauty of the African bush. The bedroom and bathroom add to the romantic atmosphere. The private deck is complimented by a Jacuzzi for unwinding in lavish style.
