Jock Safari Lodge is nestled in the area where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers flow as one, in the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park. It is on a private concession with exclusive traversing rights on 6,000 hectares of bushveld celebrated for Big Five game viewing.
The lodge is carefully screened by lush trees and reed walls and the 12 individual thatched rooms at Jock Safari Lodge are designed to make you feel at one with the quiet of the surrounding bush. Morning and evening game drives are in covered 4x4 Landrovers while other activities include game walks, bird watching, stargazing, visits to rock art sites and spa treatments at the Prilgrims Rest Relaxation Retreat.
Game drives, lasting up to 3 hours, take place in the tranquil moods of sunrise and sunset. You are guided by your game ranger in an open game viewing vehicle and you are asked to share any particular interests with your ranger who will try to incorporate these into your game drive. On game drive guests will enjoy a sundowner drink at sunset and coffee/tea at sunrise. No persons under the age of 6 years are permitted to join game drives. Children from 4 years up to and including 6 years of age will enjoy game drives in a closed vehicle.
Qualified walking guides provide the opportunity for guests to experience the excitement of approaching species on foot. No persons under the age of 12 years are permitted to join the game walks. Kindly ensure to request this activity at the time of booking accommodation as nature walks are subject to the availability of qualified guides.

Jock Main Lodge accommodates families with children from 6 years and older. There are no child rates, adult rates apply to children of all ages unless otherwise stated.
Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
A minimum of three rooms must be booked per family in order to ensure that the family has sole use of a game viewing vehicle.

The camp is situated half way between Skukuza and Malelane gates approximately 29 km (45 minutes) in both directions with only 3 km of dirt road. Due to the rules and regulations of the Kruger National Park, nobody is allowed on any Kruger National Park roads during the period of gates being closed. Therefore guests must be at their destination by the time the gates close.
